Over the May bank holiday weekend, 24 of Malvern's wells, springs, troughs and spouts were decorated and entered into the 2005 well dressing competition organised by the Malvern Spa Association. They were decorated during the daytime on Friday 29th April and then judged in the evening. They then were left decorated for the rest of the Bank Holiday weekend for everyone to see. These 24 panoramas were taken during the Friday evening and Saturday morning.

The results of the competition were as follows,

• Open section, Winner - West Malvern tap.
• Open section, Highly commended - Malvhina.
• Small group, Winner - Lower wyche spout.
• Small group, Highly commended - Earl beauchamp's spout.
• Small group, Commended - Evendine spring.
• Childrens group, Winner - Westminster bank spring.
• Childrens group, Highly commended - Lower wyche trough.
• Childrens group, Commended - Danzell spring.
